ethnicitiy is like French, German, Japanese, Indian, Brazillian...etc. You really shouldn't call American an ethnicity because no one really originated from America. Your family were probably immigrants from somewhere unless you are part Native American. Ok nevermind if I'm confusing you. My point is that an ethnicity is the country where you were originally from. For example, someone from France would have an ethnicity of French. I hope i didn't confuse you much..
